Proof of Address Document Submission Requirements
Corporate clients must provide valid proof of principal place of business address to comply with HKMA rules.
This includes:
- Company operating address
- Residential address for directors and authorized persons
- Residential address for major shareholders and ultimate beneficial owners (UBO), and if the major shareholders or UBO is a company, the company operating address
Acceptable Proof of Address Documents:
- Bank statement
- Telecom bill (mobile, broadband, fixed line)
- Utility bill (electricity, water, etc.)
- Official government letter
- Business rates or property tax demand
- Letter from a Hong Kong company secretary or professional firm confirming the address
Document Requirements
Full page or complete view
- Issued within the last 3 months
- Company name exactly matching registration documents
- Registered or principal business address (PO Boxes usually not accepted without extra proof)
- For Non-English / Non-Chinese Documents, please submit the original together with a certified English translation.
